Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE) is hiring a Racial Justice Youth Organizer to create, implement, and evaluate our new Madison Racial Justice Program. This program is focused on building the leadership of LGBTQ youth of color in Madison public high schools. Specifically, the Racial Justice Youth Organizer will: Work with students from the program to train student of color clubs on LGBTQ issues, in an effort to make more safe and supportive environments for LGBTQ youth of color.

LEDs are trained to operate highly complex computers and communications equipment, and provide liaison and technical expertise to various other state and federal agencies. LEDs transmit, receive and relay information concerning public safety and law enforcement activities; provide information and assistance to the news media and the motoring public; make decisions that are critical to the outcome of emergency situations; provide necessary information to field personnel for appropriate enforcement; work closely with other agencies to coordinate responses to crashes and emergencies; monitor locations of State Patrol vehicles and exchange information necessary for enforcement actions; and provide services for 10 state agencies and nine federal departments, including the U.S Army, Secret Service and the FBI.
Region Records Management Coordinator (Operations Program Associate), Wisconsin Department of Transportation

Job Duties: This position serves as the Records Management Coordinator in DTSD’s largest region. It is responsible for managing the region records and record retrieval system, administering the region records management and forms programs, coordinating the work of other Asset Management staff assisting in the Records area, and training all region staff on records management. This position is responsible for the records support of a professional and administrative staff consisting of 350-400 managers, supervisors, engineers, planners and related staff, delivering a multi-modal transportation program within a highly complex urbanized transportation region. The region staff members are located in four locations up to 20 miles apart, which requires additional coordination of records.

Job Duties: This position performs screening tests to detect metabolic, endocrine, hematological, and immunological defects in newborns as part of Wisconsin’s Newborn Screening Program with an emphasis in molecular technology applications. Based upon initial screening results, the position selects specimens for follow-up and/or repeat testing. In conjunction with other professionals in the program, this position reports out results of the screening tests.
Assistant Director, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
The Assistant Director is a member of the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) and actively participates in efforts to enhance retention, academic success, diversity awareness, and social programming. Position will offer one-on-one counseling and assistance to UNL students, particularly underrepresented minority students, low-income families, students who will be the first in their family to graduate from a four-year college and other at risk populations. The Assistant Director must be dedicated to leading and supporting academic excellence and undergraduate student achievement at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The individual must possess creativity, professionalism, and a positive attitude. Position is responsible for assisting the Director with day to day supervision and management of OASIS and will occasionally be responsible for facility management relative to the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. As a management and programming position, the Assistant Director will be an effective leader and collaborator; demonstrating current understanding of theoretical models, best practices and contemporary issues in student development, effective practices supporting successful student transition and retention, and developing intra-institutional collaborative partnerships.
