We’re hiring an Associate Communication and Technology Specialist Intern:

This intern will serve in a management/supervisor and assist the MSC Communications Specialist staff member with student evaluations and scheduling as well as communications material production. They are expected to have an advanced knowledge of computer technology (web design, social media, and Adobe Creative Suite). This position also functions as an Assistant Editor position for MSC publications.

The Campus Women’s Center is hiring a Program Coordinator. 
Ideal candidiate will have a strong passion for women issues; be able to work in a collective environment; have strong communication skills; be able to manage interns and volunteers; be organized, dedicated, self-motivated, and reliable. The program position job is 20 hours a week at $9.19/hour (a required 10 office hours a week and up to 10 floating hours a week) and requires a minimum of a 2 semester commitment.
The CWC program coordinator will plan, organize, and facilitate annual programs such as Love Your Body Day, World AIDS Day, Women’s History Moth, Take Back the Night and additional programs as needed.  This coordinator will work closely with ally organizations to provide programs during times such as Domestic Violence Awareness Month or Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Being a coordinator at the CWC is a very rewarding and educational job; you get to work alongside people who are very passionate about their beliefs and what they do, it gives you freedom to get creative with your job and make it your own, and it provides a great space for learning how to function in a work environment in different scenarios. Hourly student job opportunity. Work with faculty member under limited supervision.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, updating program and workshop materials, minor research, and outreach. Additional responsibility will be to transcribe written materials from English to Spanish.  Seeking majors in sociology, political science, anthropology or other major or minor studying social movements.  Knowledge of the labor and immigrant rights movement a plus.  Must be a Junior or Senior and in good academic standing. Starting pay will be $10.00 per hour, up to 15 hours per week.  Schedule is flexible; work hours must take place during regular Office hours which between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Office is located near the Student Union and on the bus line. StayFitInCollege.org Announces $700 Scholarship Awards.  StayFitInCollege.org, which promotes fitness in college, has just announced scholarship awards for the 2012/2013 academic year. There is no purchase necessary to apply for the scholarship.
